OUR PROMISE TO YOU
“When you open doors for learners, we support your journey — empowering you to grow, belong, and succeed as part of a global community, while creating an impact that lasts a lifetime.”
— WHO WE ARE
A school without a building, and a team without a commute
We deliver live, high-quality small-group teaching in partnership with schools, trusts and authorities across the UK and the USA. The work goes beyond a virtual classroom: it is tailored academic provision for learners the system has struggled to hold.
Remote working is central to how we operate – not a concession, the design.
Flexibility and trust, alongside high professional standards and a strong sense of accountability.
Collaboration sits at the heart of the culture: close working relationships across schools, educators and internal teams.
Clear progression through a performance-based grading system, with flexible workload options.
A supportive environment where our teachers report feeling valued and professionally recognised.
You are not just joining a role. You are joining a mission-driven, globally connected community committed to quality, growth and impact.
— WHAT WE PROVIDE
The perks for working at Purple Ruler
We provide the training
You are trained into how we teach before you take a group, not left to work it out live in front of the pupils who can least afford it.
Lesson materials, ready to teach
The resources come with the lesson. No hunting for a worksheet at half past nine, no rebuilding a scheme of work someone has already built.
A set timetable
You know which groups you have and when, and it stays that way. Predictable for you, and predictable for learners who need the week to look the same.
Social clubs, in person and online
Remote does not have to mean alone. There are clubs you can join from your desk and ones you turn up to in person, and they are for the team, not for training.
Ongoing CPD, and paid workshops
Development carries on after onboarding, and the workshops are paid. Your own progress is part of the job rather than something you fit around it.
A guaranteed growth pathway
Progression is written down and graded on performance, so the next step is a route you can see rather than a conversation you have to ask for.
